Holistic Pediatric Care for Every Stage of Childhood
At East West Wellness, we understand that children are not just “small adults.” Their bodies, minds, and emotions evolve rapidly—and so should their care. Our integrative pediatric approach blends modern diagnostics with time-tested natural therapies, thoughtfully adapted to each child’s age, development, and individual needs.
From infancy to young adulthood, we treat the whole child by addressing root causes, supporting resilience, and partnering with parents to guide wellness from the very beginning.
Some common conditions treated: infantile colic, nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting), asthma, allergic rhinitis, nausea and vomiting, headache and migraine, and dysmenorrhea.
Our Approach
Infancy (Birth to 1 year):
In this tender stage of rapid growth and immune development, we focus on gentle interventions. Support for colic, reflux, eczema, and sleep issues may include pediatric tuina massage, herbal baths, nutritional guidance for breastfeeding parents, and non-needle acupuncture tools like shonishin (a Japanese treatment that doesn't use needles and is painless).
Toddlerhood (1 to 3 years):
As toddlers explore the world (and test boundaries), we help with digestive imbalances, ear infections, food sensitivities, and emotional regulation. Treatments are playful and non-invasive, and often include dietary modifications, gentle herbs, and acupressure techniques that support digestion, immunity and nervous system regulation.
Early Childhood (3 to 5 years):
This stage brings growth spurts and new cognitive and emotional milestones. We address concerns like allergies, bedwetting, attention challenges, and frequent illnesses with customized plans that may include simple acupuncture, kid-friendly supplements, and lifestyle support for routines, sleep, and transitions.
Middle Childhood (6 to 12 years):
School-age children may face more stress, peer pressures, and early signs of hormonal shifts. We support them through integrative care that balances physical health (digestion, immunity, skin) with emotional well-being. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, mindfulness tools, and nutritional plans are adapted to meet growing bodies and minds.
Adolescence (13 to 18+ years):
This is a transformative time, and integrative care can help adolescents feel grounded and confident. We commonly address hormonal imbalances, acne, mood swings, menstrual health, and stress-related concerns. Our approach supports autonomy and connection, often integrating acupuncture, nutritional counseling, and mind-body techniques to build lifelong health awareness.
Young Adulthood (up to early 20s):
For young adults—especially those with chronic conditions or special needs—continuity of care can be essential. We provide a safe space for this transition, offering individualized care plans that may include ongoing support for anxiety, sleep, fertility, or academic burnout using holistic tools that respect both body and identity.
Your child’s needs will change—and we’re here to meet them with thoughtful, whole-person care at every step. Whether they’re learning to walk or preparing for college, we’re honored to walk alongside your family through all the stages of growing up, naturally.
